PRIVACY POLICY

Manulena recognises and values the right to privacy and protection of personal data of everyone with whom it collaborates and contacts.

The present Privacy Policy therefore reflects our commitment, describing how we collect, use, handle and safeguard personal data, as well as the mechanisms that we make available to our customers so that they can exercise their rights over them, as well as the manner in which we fulfil our legal obligations to ensure a good relationship with our customers.

Our customers' personal data are handled and protected in accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Law no. 58/2019 of 8 August 2019).

What are Personal Data?

Personal data is all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

What personal data do we collect and for what purpose?

For our customers to be able to take advantage of our online sales services, they need to register on our website by creating a user. The personal data that we collect are those provided directly by the customers themselves when filling out the form during the creation of the user and are restricted to the scope of the services we provide, in order to allow and ensure the customers’ profile, monitor purchases and deliver products with the quality that is expected of us.

In addition, we ask our customers for their consent to the sending of our newsletters and campaign information, so as to keep them informed of news concerning products and opportunities which we believe may be of interest to them. We are committed to the quality of our relationship with our customers, always respecting their choices.

If you have sent us an application, please be aware that we collect your personal data directly from you, either through the delivery of your CV or verbally, and that we use your personal data exclusively to study your technical and human skills, and thus assess the possibilities of alignment with our recruitment needs.

Who do we share Personal Data with?

The personal data we keep are for the exclusive use of Manulena for our products’ online sales services and will only be shared with entities that are part of the distribution chain to deliver the products to their recipients, following protocols laid out for this purpose and ensuring that these third parties will have a limited access to the data, restricted solely to those necessary for the execution of the contracted tasks.

How do we safeguard personal data and how do we protect your data?

The protection of our customers' personal data is of the utmost importance and priority for Manulena, therefore we are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access to our systems and facilities. We do this through a mix of technical and organisational measures that we consider appropriate and proportionate. Our customers’ personal data will only be processed by professionals bound to secrecy and confidentiality and to the extent necessary to provide the services rendered. The data are safeguarded in Manulena's computer systems and will be kept for as long as user registrations on the website remain active, without prejudice to the fact that we may keep some of the personal data for longer periods to ensure compliance with current legislation and until they are no longer necessary.

The protection of our candidates' personal data is also of the utmost importance to Manulena, so if you have sent us an application, your data will be safeguarded with the same rigour and adoption of technical and organisational measures that we consider appropriate and proportionate. Our candidates' personal data will only be processed by professionals involved in the recruitment and selection process and bound to secrecy and confidentiality. Your data will be kept by us for a period no longer than 1 year, this period being dependent on our assessment of the suitability of your technical and human profile to Manulena's Values and our recruitment needs.

How can our customers request changes to their data?

Whenever our customers need any clarification beyond what is stipulated in this Policy, or if they wish to exercise their rights, they can send an e-mail to info@manulena.com, associated to our website, or directly to our data protection officer, epd@manulena.com. We will respond to requests within a maximum of 30 days and always in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including our duty to communicate any rectification or erasure of personal data or limitation of their processing that has been carried out. We will act in the following manner to:

  • Withdrawal of consent: Our customers may, at any time, withdraw their consent to the sending of newsletters and/or campaigns. This is done directly from the link available in the newsletter, whereupon Manulena will no longer include them in the distribution list for information on our new products and campaigns.
  • Access by the data subject: Our customers may, at any time, check their own data in their user registration, available on our website in the customer area after LOGIN.
  • Erasure of data: Our customers may, at any time, request that we erase their user registration and associated personal data; only the data necessary for the billing system will be kept, in order to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Rectification: Our customers may, at any time, rectify their incorrect or incomplete personal data in their user registration, available on our website in the customer area.

  • Right to restriction of processing: Our customers may, at any time and in certain circumstances, request that we restrict our processing of their personal data. In such cases, we will continue to store the associated personal data but will not be able to continue to provide online sales services, as we will not be able to carry out any processing activities with them until we are provided consent or in such cases in which further processing is necessary for the statement, exercise of defence of a right, protection of the rights of another person or for reasons of important public interest of the EU or a Member State.
